This is a basic user course meant to enhance the survivability skills of the school resource officer and the patrol officer during live fire scenarios in “shoot don’t shoot” situations while recognizing and utilizing cover and concealment. The course will help an officer decide upon the best cover or concealment options and the best tactical advantage to defend.

The live fire drills are meant to enhance the survival mindset during the “fight or flight” process. The course is dynamic and hands on. It will consist of an indoor course involving multiple rooms with stationary and live targets.

Equipment used for the course: Glock style handguns, AR15s and Pump Shotguns all set up in 6 MM airsoft and 50 Cal. munitions. The handguns will work off a CO2 cartridges. The cost includes the use of range fee, CO2 cartridges, 6 mm airsoft ammunition, 50 cal. munitions and lunch. We will also have face and head gear available. Small radios will be used for live scenarios to communicate.

The dynamics of cover and concealment will be covered and an officer will define what the two are and how to use them. The course will consist of a brief lecture and a hands on course which will cover the following areas; single and multiple threat actors while the officer is potentially taking fire from a subject or multiple subject threats. Room clearing and dynamic entries will be covered.

Cost: $135.00 per officer

Note: A certificate of attendance will be issued upon the completion of the course. This is a prepay course via agency or officer payment. Minimum of twelve (10) officers needed to run the course. Tops out at 20 officers. Officers can bring their own air soft weapon systems if they want to train with them.
